E TU AKE: MAORI STANDING STRONG exhibition celebrates the Maori culture by presenting invaluable ancestral treasures, contemporary objects, and works of art. These objects (155) reflect the essence, courage, dignity, and aspirations of the Maori people in a setting that combines the ancient and the contemporary. The exhibition explores three major themes: Whakapapa (ties that bind), Mana (way of being), and Kaitiakitanga (caring and protecting).
